Nutrition & Training
Figure competition is a demanding sport. Jelena puts her body through vigorous training and restrictive nutrition. She competes at 57kgr (offseason 62kgr). Only by being greatly organized she can manage her training and work schedule. Having an upbeat, motivated personality also helps. She takes 14-16 weeks to prepare for each competition, splitting her training to Back, Legs, Chest, Arms, Legs & Shoulders from Monday through Friday, starting all over without a rest day. Nowadays she trains mainly for shape with high reps, having already build power and size during her early years.
She is a firm believer of clean, wholesome nutrition year round but as competition draws closer she relies more to proteins than carbs. Jelena eats 6 meals per day mainly chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, broccoli and complex carbs. Her strongest body part are her legs, she loves to train them heavy. As a young athlete her motivation were competitors like Cory Everson , Melissa Coates, Flex Wheeler and Shawn Ray.
Free Time
Between her competitions and professional life there is not much free time. Jelena enjoys a good movie, swimming & diving, travelling, dancing, and writing, She is very close to her family and friends.
